Dr. John McBride and his helpmate, Sarah, have been the spiritual leaders of Mintz Baptist Church since 1994.  The McBride's have two children, five grandchildren, and their beloved Pekingese, Meetu.  Dr. McBride is a native of North Carolina, and Sarah, a native of Virginia.

The McBride's love sharing the story of God's love for all people.  In addition to serving in the ministries of Mintz Baptist Church, they are involved in Campers of Missions (COM).   Dr. McBride serves as chaplain of the Southern Region for COM and VP of NC COM.  He and Sarah love travelling and meeting new people whenever the opportunity allows.

Dr. McBride has been preaching since he was seventeen years old and has pastored churches in Virginia and North Carolina.  He believes the Bible is the infallible Word of God and that Jesus Christ is God's only Son, the only hope for our lives now and for eternity.  Dr. McBride has devoted his life to the study of God's Word and it's application to man's life needs.  Dr. McBride is a licensed counselor focusing on marital, mental, and substance abuse problems.  He has earned Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degrees.
